It’s my LIFE.

Sohail and other participants stood on the highest level at the swimming pool to take their turns to dive for the State Level Championship, he could see all eyes set upon them. Especially his mom with hope, expectation and pride in her eyes.
He hated her eagerness. The way she drove him as a child to ensure that he did not miss a single training session.
She believed and also made him believe that he had the talent and the capacity. He wondered whether she was only forcing her views and opinions Her relentless efforts to ensure his diet was correct,to stay put through all sessions to see if he was learning the skills right, to cheer ,to comment if wrong ,to push him to do better.
As he moved ahead to take his position for diving,he felt rather free. She could only see him, but had absolutely no control on his actions. I can goof up and get even for all the pains she has put me through, thought Sohail with a smirk.
In the audience were three types of observers, those waiting to see him fail. She has pinned too many hopes on him, they thought. Those who believed in her and wanted to see him win and the third who were oblivious of all.
Sohail took a deep breath, closed his eyes took a step, just then his sight fleetingly landed on the score board. It suddenly dawned upon him that now it was truly his show. His mom had helped him to reach this level, but now the score board would reflect only and only his own talent and efforts. He was responsible for his actions.

He took his position, focused all his energies and dived with only one aim-T0 WIN. To prove that he truly had it in him.
