I write this today as we mourn the loss of young Sushant Singh
Rajput a very talented actor.
A rash decision to commit suicide as a depression patient. Is
it that or a murder? speculations go on.
All friends, ex-girlfriends, acquaintances,
and family who get dragged into discussions and theories.
Today I address these
people “Guilty without committing a crime ”
I am reminded of a personal incident at the young age of 18
when my BFF eloped without even ever mentioning what was on her mind, and me
not knowing even four days post the incident.
These incidents are life-changing
or scarring for those left behind to do the answering.
You are constantly under the probe radar, ridden with
suspicious glances and snide remarks and questions that you may find extremely
difficult, embarrassing, or plain irritating to handle.
I am not referring to this episode alone, it may happen to
anyone of us, and not each one copes adequately well.
You either are plain shocked, guilt-ridden, overwhelmed, or
grief-stricken.
You need a confidant, in my case, my Mom stepped into the
role quickly. However one may not want to share with anyone in case people form
prejudices or opinions.
Coping Techniques -
- Write it down and tear or burn the stuff.
- You may talk to a plant, could be the Tulsi you have at home.
- Cry yourself till you feel light. Remember boys too have tear glands. It’s ok to vent out.
Such situations
disturb you, but” time is the only healer ”stay calm and balanced.
This too shall pass.
I write this esp. for the young generation who at times I
feel do not open up!
