Be the wall.

Ravinder move your fingers….  FAST!!
His heart almost froze as Ms Janet yelled  entering  the room ,drawing laughter and pokes from other’s around him .
Arya looked at him with sad eyes.she pitied him for the reactions he drew and wondered why he could not be faster. He was so good on the playground ,helped her when her bag would be heavy. He was always there when someone needed help ,then why not himself?
Ravinder looked into her eyes he wanted to cry  out aloud for being so hopeless. He was utterly confused with how and why he could not be like them? ”Sher puttar rote nahi!( Brave boys don’t cry.)”These words were so ingrained that it was impossible for him to vent out.
Half a page answer in Arya’s book , looked a page long in his own book .His writing woes adding to the chaos.
“The plants have a green thing called Chlorophyll which helps them to make their own food ”and it went on ….”You will get nowhere if you do not learn this shouted Ms Janet.”I shall tell your mom how difficult you are”
At home Dadi(GRANNY) was silently observing her seven year old  grandson withdraw into a shell. His parents felt pressured with constant complaints from teachers and used to reprimand him constantly .
The happy and cherubic kid had become silent over a period. He had lost weight and appetite too.
NO ONE WILL SPEAK TO MY CHILD LIKE THIS!’’ Dadi (granny) yelled. She hugged him and decided to take things in her hands.
Years later…..
As the last patient walked out,the receptionist walked into the Dr’s chamber she was surprised to see him wipe away a tear .
’’This appointment ran longer?” she enquired out of sheer curiosity .
“Yes , I was transported back in time ”he walked to a wall that had a huge mural of an old lady across  the entire wall. His Dadi(Granny)!,the lady who stood against all odds as a wall to bring him back to the mainstream .Unfortunately ,only till he cleared his 8th class; but long enough to bring his confidence to take on the world.
His last patient - a five year old ,brought back memories of his own childhood and he had decided to be the wall for him.
